The British Conservative Party is one of two main political parties in the United Kingdom, along with the Labour Party.

Founded by Robert Peel in 1834 from the Tory Party, the Conservative Party has a long and proud history in British politics as a centre-right political party.

The modern-day Conservative Party was formed in 1912 when the party merged with the Liberal Unionist Party. It has advocated for free markets, deregulation, privatisation and more recently a Britain independent of Europe.
